  • 7" Saudade Vem Correndo (Dstrukt Remix) | Rico Suave Bossa Nova (RCADE re-interpretation) (Green/Yellow)
    Record/Vinyl + Digital Album

On side A, DSTRUKT delivers a subtle but thumpy flip of Stan Getz & Luis Bonfa’s “Suadade Vem Correndo”, made famous by The Pharcyde’s 1995 hit, “Runnin’”. As the listener, you might suspect the main riff that we’ve all come to know and love would permeate the greater part of this joint, but thankfully, the payoff doesn’t come that easily. Rather, DSTRUKT lets the natural beauty of this song breathe, while familiarity dances in and out of the track.

RCADE comes through on the B-side with “Rico Suave Bossa Nova (RCADE Re-Interpretation)”. Unlike the A-side, RCADE cuts right to the chase and builds on the ever classic piano and guitar riff made famous by your favorite producer’s favorite producer, JayDee (muthafucka, Dee!). This joint finds us weaving in and out of the organic and the synthetic, without sacrificing the true soul of the original sample.

Serve with the right setting (a day party), the right drink (preferably a capirinha), and the right outfit (a sundress or a pair of boat shorts and a fly printed button down), this record will have you swaying (and eventually laying, if you play your cards right). Bonus scratch sounds at the end of each side make the deal as sweet as donuts.
