Music has always been one of the purest forms of conveying the raw emotions of the human condition. Especially when it comes to love and all of the feels that come with it. Through their new blends project, Blends 4 Your Bae <3 Joseph Rey, NYC-based DJs Dstrukt and M-Pos tell the story of a love-so-right gone wrong.

The pack is a chronological glimpse of the stages of a modern, but common love story. It begins with infatuation and bliss (“Over The Top”), progresses to steamy lust (“Butta Lurv”), then quickly spirals into insecurity and precautionary infidelity (“Ain’t The One”), heated confrontation (“Baby Don’t Stutter”), bitter revenge (“Can’t Make It Hot”) and finally, sobering realization (“Make Me Wanna”). Past the supposed conclusion, the story ends with a hidden collage of bittersweet reminiscence (“Underneath The Stars”).

But not to release the clutches of your heartstrings just yet, the bonus tracks, “Over The Top (Honey Dew Remix)” and “Butta Lurv (Body Roll Refixx)” are there to remind us of the simpler times in this whirlwind of a love story.
